China's fixed asset investment in August drops 5.9%
BEIJING, Sept. 12 (Xinhua)-- China's fixed asset investment in August dropped by 5.9 percent from July this year, said Qiu Xiaohua, head of the National Bureau of Statistics.

Qiu said it means that the macro control efforts have achieved tangible results and China should do more work to bring fixed asset investment back onto the right track.

Growth in the country's fixed assets in the first eight months this year was 29.1 percent. Enditem
