Official: Indonesia still world's largest LNG exporter กก
JAKARTA, April 27 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia remains the world's largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) exporter by controlling 47.2 percent of the global market, a government official said Friday.

Indonesia's LNG export averages some 3,389.9 MMSCFD (Millions of Standard Cubic Feet per Day), said Hendri Ahmad, director of natural gas production with the downstream oil and gas regulatory agency (BPH Migas).

Indonesia also has huge natural gas reserves enough for a supply of at least 56 years, he was quoted by the national Antara news agency as saying from Gorontalo province in Sulawesi island.

Gas production stands at 8.13 BSCFD (Billion Standard Cubic Feet per Day), 41.6 percent of which went to domestic markets.

"LNG is among our largest foreign exchange revenue sources," he said.
